What's your category?

You scored as Emergent/Postmodern. You are Emergent/Postmodern in your theology. You feel alienated from older forms of church, you don't think they connect to modern culture very well. No one knows the whole truth about God, and we have much to learn from each other, and so learning takes place in dialogue. Evangelism should take place in relationships rather than through crusades and altar-calls. People are interested in spirituality and want to ask questions, so the church should help them to do this.

I thought this was an interesting little quiz - some of the questions are clearly slanted a particular way and it's totally Christian. Can anyone tell me who the guy is that is pictured?? I have a feeling I'm supposed to know who he is... I figured out this is Brian McLaren. Doh! And just for the record, this is not the label I would have given myself. But then again, I'm not a fan of putting label on people and sorting them into little boxes... Perhaps that's the postmodern thing!?

I looked in the html code and believe that the picture is Brian McLaren - who will be coming to Saint Paul in a few weeks oddly enough!! I'm reading one of his books from my evangelism class this semester so we'll see how that goes...

That's Brian Mclaren--big big in the emergent movement. I watched a great PBS special featuring him recently. Also, am reading a great book right now, Heart of Christianity, by Marcus Borg, upon Kathy McCallie's recommendation. I like.

Oh wait, I just now read your other comment and see that you knew it was him....doh.

I took the same one a while back and had no idea who the photo was, either--now I know who Brian McLaren is. I guess you learn something every day :)
